"Go check out this fence made of bicycle parts," was one of the first orders I was given as a reporter for the Columbia Missourian. There was no address given, no city. Just a description and general location. So off I went. Turns out the fence wasn't made of just bicycle parts, but "objects found" by a quiet gentleman named Terry and his dog, Rosie. The Missourian catered to my strengths as a photographer and allowed me to write and photograph a story about Terry, the renovation of a 170-year-old farmhouse and an eccentric fence.
