When a Bull Turns
After bull attack, second thoughts and a long recovery
Read the story produced for the Columbia Missourian

When a woman was attacked by a bull on a farm in Southeast Columbia, I found her husband by himself at a restaurant where I worked. I was reporting for the Columbia Missourian at the time and already knew about the attack. Wanting to talk to someone, he sobbed and told me the details of her injuries over a basket of onion rings. I asked if he wouldn't mind doing a formal interview with me for a story and he obliged. What followed was a story of Judy Gibson and an unfaltering love for her pet bull, Slick.
